  13. Wasp 2.02beta. Converts pics from IFF & GIF format to IFF format.

  15. Input formats supported:
  16. - GIF (87a)
  17. - IFF hires, lores, HAM, EHB, sliced hires, lores, and HAM, dynamic hires,
  18.   lores and HAM, 24-bits IFF.
  19. - SRGR, a private format, basically uncompressed 12-bits RGB.
  20. - Sun rasterfile, monochrome only
  21. - PPM, P5 (binary 8-bits greyscale) and P6 (binary 24-bits RGB) only.
  22. - HL2, the temporary file format produced by the Hamlab input filters
  23. - MTV, produced by a.o. the Rayshade raytracer
  24.  
  25. Output formats supported:
  26. - IFF hires, lores, HAM, EHB, sliced hires, lores, and HAM, dynamic hires,
  27.   lores and HAM, 24-bits IFF.

  29. - PPM, P6 (binary 24-bits RGB) only, the four least significant bits
  30.   of the r, g, and b component of the pixels are zero.

  32. Main features:
  33. - SPEED! This program has been developed on an unaccelerated A500, on which
  34.   all of the other GIF -> IFF conversion programs ran way too slow.
  35.   Wasp is three times faster than supercon, seven times faster than
  36.   gifmachine, and even faster than TAD, a commercial program!
  37. - Good output quality, generally better than TAD, and much better than most
  38.   other programs.
  39. - Many IFF output formats are supported, including HAM, sliced HAM, dynamic
  40.   HAM and dynamic hires.
